Destination Outback Registration

What does the trip involve?

Pack up your 4WD full of camping gear and get ready to explore the Australian Outback with the Rotarty Club of Dubbo South. Destination Outback 2026 will be travelling through and staying at locations such as Bourke, Wanaaring, Thargomindah, Eromanga, Windorah, Jundah, Isisford, Blackall, Adavale, Quilpie, Eulo, Hungerford & Louth.

We will be driving on dirt roads and raising funds for causes close to our hearts such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Pink Angels, the Sing Out Choir and Macquarie Home Stay as we pull into each town for fun, auctions, entertainment & fellowship.

How do I register?

Step 1. Scroll down and if you have already logged into the Rotary website in the past, click on "already have an account" and follow the prompts. If you do not have an account, click on "create an account" and follow the prompts. Fill in the information and read the "Terms and Conditions" of the event, click "Next Step".

STEP 2. Create a fundraising page, hit "Next Step".

STEP 3. Either create a car, or join a car. We encourage you to have a team captain who initially registers and creates the car. If you do not have a car and you are travelling with a friend, the team captain can then invite you to join their car.

STEP 4. Pay for your meal ticket. The ticket is $850.00 which includes meals but does not include accommodation (besides a place to roll out your swag). You are not registered unless you pay for your meal ticket.

STEP 5. Share the links for your car page to raise a minimum of $2,500.00. You will also have an individual fundraising page. Your car will also have its own fundraising page - please only fundraise against your car.

Participants in the event must raise $2,500 per car by the 10th of July 2026. To participate in the event, the minimum fundraising amount per car is $2,500. Those that are not able to raise these funds will not be able to participate in the event.

STEP 6. Load content onto your car page. You can post updates as you get ready for the trip, or on the trip.

How many registrations are permitted?
Due to the small communities that we visit we need to cap registrations at 150 people and cars at 50.

General Release and Indemnity

The Rotary Club of Dubbo South Inc. (“Rotary”)

DESTINATION OUTBACK 2026 (“the Event”)

I am aware and acknowledge that this 4WD outback adventure involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury to life or death and damage to property and in participating in the Event, I do so at my own risk.
I am also aware that it is a condition of participation in the Event that Rotary, its officers and employees, agents and volunteers are released by me from all liability howsoever arising from injury or damage to both property and person howsoever caused (whether fatal or otherwise) arising out of my participation in the Event whether or not such injury or damage is due to any negligent act, breach of duty, default and/or omission on the part of Rotary, its officers and employees, agents or volunteers.
I indemnify Rotary, its officers and employees, agents and volunteers against all loss, damage, and expenses (including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis) incurred or suffered by me arising out of or in connection with any claims, actions, proceedings or demands of any kind arising directly or indirectly as a consequence of my participation in the Event.
I acknowledge and agree that my participation in the Event is as a consequence of my own free will and desire and that I have read and understood the above acknowledgement, release and indemnity.
I warrant that I am 18 years of age or older and am lawfully able to enter into this release and indemnity.

Destination Outback 2026 Rules

1. Vehicles

a. The event is restricted to 50 vehicles.

b. Genuine 4WD (not just AWD) vehicles only with appropriate ground clearance for rough dirt roads, with preferably two full size spare tyres. All terrain tyres preferable.

c. Vehicles must be mechanically sound, with current registration.

d. For safety reasons, an installed UHF 40 or more Channel Radio is COMPULSORY in all vehicles. (Handheld radios are not acceptable, due to range restrictions).

e. Vehicles (including UHF Radios) and registration papers must be available for inspection prior to the start.

2. Participants

a. A maximum of FOUR people per entry.

b. All drivers to hold a current driver’s licence and have a minimum insurance of third-party property insurance

3. Accommodation

Accommodation is ‘under the stars’ – BYO camping equipment.

(Limited under cover accommodation is available at some overnight stops.)

4. Entry fee/Meals:

a. Entry/Meal tickets will be $850 per person and are non-refundable. This amount covers the costs associated with running the event and all meals.

b. All meals have been organised from dinner Friday until breakfast Saturday.

c. No special dietary requirements can be catered for.

d. Registrations will close on the earlier of capacity or 30 June 2026.

5. Fundraising:

a. The purpose of Destination Outback is to raise funds for charitable purposes. Accordingly, in order to meet and hopefully exceed our 2026 fundraising target, it is a requirement that each vehicle raise a minimum of $2,500 by Friday 10th July 2026. You and the participants in your vehicle can contribute these amounts yourselves, or enlist the support of business associates, friends and family.

b. Donations are payable to the Rotary Club of Dubbo South Foundation, which is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and also endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient (a DGR), and can be made through the Destination Outback website hosted on Funraisin that will provided to you after registration.

c. All donations of $2 or more though the Destination Outback website hosted on Funraisin should receive a tax deductible receipt.

d. Your profile page will remain live on the website for several weeks after the event so that you can continue to actively fundraise.

e. Please note that, once made, donations cannot be refunded.

f. All monies raised will be directed by the Foundation to worthy community projects.

6. Committee discretion

These rules may be subject to change. Any changes will be advised prior to the event.

The Destination Outback Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any entry.
