History

The first Destination Outback event was held in 1990. Howard Laughton suggested the idea to Peter Scott and after doing some work on it they presented it to John Robertson, President of the Rotary Club of Dubbo South at the time, who enthusiastically backed the idea. There has now been 16 Destination Outback events with over $2.5 million dollars raised.
