About Us

Service Above Self

In Rotary Clubs around the world, men and women are making a difference to the quality of life of others by accepting the challenge of volunteer service through their local Rotary Club.

Objective of Rotary

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

First

Club Service

The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.

Second

Vocational Service

High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignity of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to service society.

Third

Community Service

The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business and community life.

Fourth

International Service

The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world of fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

Membership Obligations

Rotary demands one's time, skills and to a limited extent, money.

The Rotary Club of Dubbo South meets weekly for fellowship, dinner, Club updates and guest speakers.

Outside of weekly meetings members are involved in committees to plan and host the many events held by the Club such as Destination Outback, Tour de OROC, Black Tie Ball, Christmas Fair, dinners at Macquarie Homestay and many more.

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

Is it the TRUTH?

Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOODWILL & BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
