On a mission to support...

The Toyota Tour de OROC, an initiative of the Rotary Club of Dubbo South, is a unique biennial cycling event running from 6 to 12 October 2025. Covering more than 800 kilometres across the Orana Region, it is one of the longest and most rewarding charity rides on the Australian calendar.

First held in 2013, the ride was established to raise funds for Macquarie Home Stay—an essential accommodation facility for people from regional and remote communities needing medical treatment in Dubbo. Since then, the Tour and the Rotary Club of Dubbo South have contributed over $1 million towards the facility, which officially opened its doors in 2019.

Funds raised through this year’s ride will support the Stage Three expansion of Macquarie Home Stay, which includes the addition of much-needed family accommodation. Your involvement not only helps make this vision a reality, but also demonstrates to government and funding bodies that this is a project backed wholeheartedly by the community.

Rider Bio

The Tour De Oroc is a 6-day bicycle ride covering over 800km to raise funds for Macquarie Home Stay. My motivation to take on such a challenge comes from my recent accident earlier this year, where I collided with a car while on a bike. Some have called me crazy for getting back on a bike, whereas I see this as an opportunity to prove my resilience. As I've become more familiar with our healthcare facilities in Dubbo, I have gained a deeper understanding of how vital a service like Macquarie Homestay is for families seeking professional medical attention away from home. Donating anything at all eases the pressure on those who are already in a stressful situation, worrying about their loved ones.
