On a mission to support...

The Toyota Tour de OROC, an initiative of the Rotary Club of Dubbo South, is a unique biennial cycling event running from 6 to 12 October 2025. Covering more than 800 kilometres across the Orana Region, it is one of the longest and most rewarding charity rides on the Australian calendar.

First held in 2013, the ride was established to raise funds for Macquarie Home Stay—an essential accommodation facility for people from regional and remote communities needing medical treatment in Dubbo. Since then, the Tour and the Rotary Club of Dubbo South have contributed over $1 million towards the facility, which officially opened its doors in 2019.

Funds raised through this year’s ride will support the Stage Three expansion of Macquarie Home Stay, which includes the addition of much-needed family accommodation. Your involvement not only helps make this vision a reality, but also demonstrates to government and funding bodies that this is a project backed wholeheartedly by the community.

Founding Rider I Tour de OROC 2025

I’m proud to be getting back in the saddle this year for the Toyota Tour de OROC — an event that means more to me than just the kilometres we ride.

As a founding rider, I’ve had the privilege of supporting this incredible cause since its inception in 2013. Every two years, I join a dedicated group of cyclists to pedal hundreds of kilometres across western NSW — and every kilometre we ride helps raise critical funds for Macquarie Home Stay.

Macquarie Home Stay provides affordable, welcoming accommodation for patients and families travelling to Dubbo for essential medical treatment. It’s a lifeline for our region, and as the region grows, so does the need. Thanks to the generosity of our communities, we’ve raised over $1M so far. Let’s keep the momentum going.

In 2025, I’ll be riding 740km over six days — putting my legs (and my butt!) on the line once again for a cause that truly matters. This year, funds will help support the planning and development of Stage 3: purpose-built, family-oriented rooms designed to provide comfort and care when it's needed most.

Thanks for your support — and I’ll see you on the road!

Riding for a Purpose – My Tour de OROC Journey

Friday 15th Aug

Riding more than 700km in six days is no easy feat at the best of times – and the Toyota Tour de OROC certainly likes to keep us on our toes.

Last year, the elements threw everything at us. We battled flooding, dodged potholes, and pushed through scorching hot days. And yet, every challenge was worth it – because the ride isn’t just about the kilometres we clock up. It’s about the lives we impact.

This year, I’m back in the saddle for one reason: to support the guests of Macquarie Home Stay – the people who benefit most from the work we’re doing.

Why We Ride

Funds raised from the 2025 Toyota Tour de OROC will go directly toward building one of six new two-bedroom family cottages at Macquarie Home Stay.

These cottages mean more than just a roof over someone’s head. They mean:

  • More space for families to be together.

  • More comfort during challenging times.

  • More dignity for people travelling from regional and remote areas to Dubbo for medical care. 💛

The Goal

We’re not just riding for the sake of riding. We’re riding to build a place where people can rest, recover, and stay connected while undergoing treatment or supporting a loved one.

Join the Ride

Whether you’re a cyclist, a supporter, or a donor – you can be part of this journey. This is a rare opportunity to challenge yourself, contribute to a truly meaningful cause, and be part of something extraordinary.

Let’s ride with purpose. Let’s make a difference.
