On a mission to support...

The Toyota Tour de OROC, an initiative of the Rotary Club of Dubbo South, is a unique biennial cycling event running from 6 to 12 October 2025. Covering more than 800 kilometres across the Orana Region, it is one of the longest and most rewarding charity rides on the Australian calendar.

First held in 2013, the ride was established to raise funds for Macquarie Home Stay—an essential accommodation facility for people from regional and remote communities needing medical treatment in Dubbo. Since then, the Tour and the Rotary Club of Dubbo South have contributed over $1 million towards the facility, which officially opened its doors in 2019.

Funds raised through this year’s ride will support the Stage Three expansion of Macquarie Home Stay, which includes the addition of much-needed family accommodation. Your involvement not only helps make this vision a reality, but also demonstrates to government and funding bodies that this is a project backed wholeheartedly by the community.

My Updates

Andrew's OROC involvement

Monday 11th Aug
2025 will be my 6th Tour de OROC. I think I am committed to the event, not only because of the cycling challenge presented every 2 years, but also for the importance of fundraising for Macquarie Home Stay. The Tour de OROC became a project of the Rotary Club of Dubbo South (of which I am a member) in 2015, and it is one of several major fundraising initiatives of the Club. The hardest event? - without a doubt 2015. The most memorable? - 2022 for all the wrong reasons, as I was involved in a crash and failed to complete the ride.
